on the outskirts of Palmerston north sits this beautiful site, surrounded by lush patches of nature sits this clients site. the design pushed to open up the home to its surrounding 360 views through horizontal planes in a modernist design language opposing the classic nz gable homes. by offsetting the height of the horizontal planes verticality is created within the interior creating a stacked affect. the layout plan focuses on creating four main sections based on their use, private, public, semi public, guest. Through this separation order is created linked together by a deck that spans the north face.
